H. Highwater is a Michigan-born ceramic and multimedia artist. Her work focuses primarily on figural forms, emphasizing pose and gesture to communicate emotion without facial expression, frequently focused on feelings of melancholy or longing. She began working with ceramics in September of 2022. When not at the ceramics studio, she enjoys painting, bookbinding, reading, thrifting, tabletop RPGs, and gardening, and playing with her foster kittens, two cats, and pet doves.
